On-ice skills from off-ice gains… Even though the Barbell Kayak Row doesn’t directly mimic on-ice movements, when it comes to overall upper body development, this exercise is gets an A+ from us. While the primary focus is on the upper back, shoulders and core, it also involves the biceps, forearms and grip strength. On the ice, hockey players will: 🏒 Improve stickhandling and puck control 🏒 Increase shot power 🏒 Win more battles for the puck 🏒 Have better balance and agility 🏒 Increase muscular endurance for sustained performance throughout the game Our spring training camp is still running and it’s not too late for you to get your body ready for the demands of off-season training. Remember, other players are putting in that effort now and come tryouts who do you think will have the advantage? Let us make sure it’s you! Comment or DM the words “SPRING TRAINING” for info. Let us know in the comments below if the Barbell Kayak Row is something you’re interested in trying! ...
