Tim was the main reason many of us fell in love with progressive house music. He was a true music innovator who inspired me SO much that I followed in his footsteps. He was literally my idol and one of my biggest inspirations as I grew into the EDM world. In 2013, he announced his competition “Avicii X You,” aka The World’s Largest Collaboration. I ended up winning the competition for one of the music categories and got the chance to collaborate with him. When I heard the news, I remember leaving my college lecture hall with tears down my face. Tears of joy. I was emotionally ecstatic because a collaboration with avicii was my biggest dream. I still can’t believe the news I’m hearing right now. You were one of electronic music’s greats. A musical genius and talented soul. Your melodies will live on forever.
