2nd Runner-Up, photogenic award, and spirit award at Miss Delaware USA last weekend. When I competed last year, I thought it was my last shot due to an age limit (that I would’ve aged out of by only 14 days!) So when a few months ago the Miss Universe organization announced the age limit being lifted completely, I knew I had to come back. We’re all on our own paths and timelines, and I’m so happy to see that being embraced. It’s such a good feeling to know now that when my pageant journey ends it will be on my terms and not because of how old I am. I only started competing in this system 2 years ago, so I don’t see myself giving up any time soon. 💕 One of my favorite things about pageantry is the friendships you make. Even when you don’t win, you’re still SO happy because you get to see one of your friends have their dreams come true right in front of you.
