Cincy Talks v8 - Gomez Salsa gomezsalsa is a Cincinnati institution serving up Tacos, Burritos, Bowls, and their signature Turtles. They opened their first location in Over-the-Rhine and can now be found in Walnut Hills and at TQL Stadium during FC Cincinnati games. We visited their location in Walnut Hills to try their Turtles, which are essentially a crunchwrap stuffed to the brim with fresh ingredients and sealed with a crispy cheese crust! We got the Buffalo-style Turtle with rice, chicken, celery, ranch, buffalo sauce, salsa, lettuce, and cheese. The combo of the spicy buffalo is balanced nicely by the ranch for a super flavorful bite. We also tried the Southwest-style Turtle with rice, barbacoa, black beans, fajitas, spicy crema, corn salsa, verde salsa, lettuce, and cheese. This Turtle is loaded with ingredients which all complement each other so nicely with a variety of textures and flavor profiles.
