Today at the #CLEO24 plenary - Ray Chen (The University of Texas at Austin), Jun Ye (National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Rebecca Richards-Kortum (Rice University) took to the stage to examine applications and technology, science and innovations and fundamental science in laser science! Chen presented integrated photonic devices covering near and mid-IR wavelengths for spectroscopy, biosensing and SERS. Ye covered how quantum entanglement is poised to make a major impact in the near future and opportunities to explore emerging quantum phenomena. Richards-Kortum investigated the development and deployment of affordable, accurate technologies that integrate imaging and biomarkers for use in low-resource settings. #quantum #scienceandtechnology
