Take a bow, everyone! Our Words Our City 2024 was beautiful. Thank you to everybody who made the night a success, but especially to our poet-athletes and Poet-Athlete Award winners, cmlewisgeorgew4 and jasonreynolds83, whose words made the night so powerful and moving. Throughout the event, partners from across our community came out to support our poet-athletes as they stepped up to their biggest stage. From our event sponsor, the washingtonspirit, to board members from dcunited and busboysandpoets, who gave opening remarks. From our Poet-Athlete Award discussion moderator, southpaw_radio, to professional performers gayledanley and blackchakra88. And, from our poet-athlete families to everyone in our audience, so many people from across D.C. came together to ensure our poet-athletes got the spotlight they deserve. The DC SCORES community is strong, and we're grateful you're all part of it. ❤️🙏 📷: crvnka
