If there was ever an exclusive place capable of peaking the interest of any midshipman, it would be the most iconic vantage point on the yard - the Chapel Dome. Traversing to the top of Chapel Dome is not for the faint of heart. For safety reasons, the Dome is off-limits except with access from David Hoffberger, the Chapel Dome’s facilities manager. A series of locked doors and stairways lead to the balcony overlooking the inside of the Chapel. That view is a great checkpoint, but the journey continues by ascending a chimney and a massive ladder to the final destination - the Chapel Dome!
