Welcome to another #ScenicSunday where we go beyond the standard #USNA tour and showcase places around the yard that are not usually seen by the public. Today’s feature is less about the location and more about the presentation. We are covering a helicopter display on Hospital Point! Throughout the year, different squadrons land on the yard to display their aircraft and talk to midshipmen about their careers and platform. For this specific feature, the Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 22 brough two MH-60S. Their mission set is to deploy for various missions, including Naval Special Warfare and Strike Coordination and Reconnaissance.
