One of the sweetest flights I had during my time with VRM-30 was an Air-Delivered Ground Refueling (ADGR) flight out to San Clemente Island, CA. It was crazy to see San Clemente is the Navy’s own island! The team linked up with 2 MH-60S helicopters from HSC-8. This flight wouldn’t have been possible without the great efforts of AWF2 Chapman, AWF1 Chalk, and AWF2 Caldwell.
