A movie about Victorian era black girls that is non political and doesn’t show black girls as slaves or vehicles for some social message. I just want them to frolic through fields in pretty dresses, eat sweets, and find love. I need such a movie. Non comedic movies featuring black people don’t always need to preach messages. Can we just be shown living our lives and finding ourselves? #BlackHistoryMonth2019
