Today Erik Soriano will officially earn his M.F.A. in #InteractiveMedia! 🎓 After his first year at univmiami, Erik was offered an internship with amazon as a #UXDesigner, and just 6 months later he was asked to return for a full-time job. “Acquiring all the necessary skills and design mindset during the uminteractive program helped me succeed and get to where I am now,” reflects Erik. Despite having a focus on #UserExperience, the multidisciplinary nature of the program allowed Erik to explore front-end development, emerging media, project management, and also to develop his leadership skills. “I am forever grateful for all the professors who challenged me and my cohort to push the limits of our creativity and break the mold, and for the resources that were made available to me as a student.” Looking back at his time at univmiami, Erik says he’ll miss hanging out with his cohort and collaborating with them on projects.
