Virginia is poised to get a new state budget before the current one runs out, according to reports that broke this afternoon. Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin and Democratic leaders in the General Assembly have reached a state budget deal, The Virginian-Pilot reported. The budget deal does not include any new tax increases, and it does not include a provision Democrats wanted to have Virginia rejoin the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, the Pilot reported. The full details of the deal will be made public on Saturday, according to House Appropriations Committee Chairman, Del.
