Sandra Oh is an award-winning Canadian and American actress and producer. Born to South Korean immigrants on July 20, 1971, she is known for starring in TV shows including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Killing Eve,” and “Arliss,” and movies including “Sideways,” “Catfight,” “Turning Red.” In addition to her acting, she served as executive producer in the Netflix comedy-drama series, “The Chair” and the supernatural horror film, “Umma,” and more. In 2018, Oh became the first actress of Asian descent to be nominated for the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. She also made history in 2019 as the first woman of Asian descent to host the Golden Globe Awards and the first woman of Asian descent to win multiple Golden Globes.
