Life Lately 🤷🏻‍♀️ —we MOVED! Sort of… (All 📸 are from our ‘new’ home in #americasfinestcity, which is in full bloom! 🌸) LET’S BEGIN—Recently we grappled with the decision of home repairs 💸. Despite what you see on squirrelmusttravel, SAVING is our # 1 priority. (We both want to retire by 50-ish!) So when we calculated the expense of a new HVAC, W/D, etccc., we felt defeated. And similar to 2019 (when we rented our 2nd room for a year+ to afford 3 mo. in SE Asia)… we decided to get crafty… Luckily, my Mom lives nearby, and has (also) been bit by the travel bug. And since she co-parents Maxx 🐶, we decided to share ONE mortgage for the summer++? Our goal: afford home updates, not touch our savings, and travel, more?… LONG story short, we’ve decided to DOWNSIZE big time, rent our home, AND share 1 mortgage with a fellow traveler (my Mom!), …who’s also a built in pup sitter 😉.
