As Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month comes to a close, we're excited to showcase Sony Artisan of Imagery and Alpha Female Zabrina Deng, who recently took on a cultural preservation project entitled “Portraits of Chinatown Women.” Zabrina shared this memory from her childhood that served as motivation for her project: “Chinatown communities have rich histories and traditions, and they are part of our very own American fabric. When I was a teenager, I set foot in San Francisco Chinatown on my 1st day of landing in the USA back in the 90s. Growing up in San Francisco, every Sunday I would accompany my grandma to church in Chinatown, then we'd go have lunch at different restaurants after Sunday.
