A faculty member at Tennessee A & I from 1923 to 1969, Frances Thompson created artistic designs for all of the programs for special occasions and various publications at Tennessee A & I. Her most persevering work, is the University’s seal which was designed in 1924, the same year the institution became Tennessee A & I State Teachers College.
