Last week at the Armour J. Blackburn University Center, Howard University’s Office of International Affairs and LGBTQ+ Resource Center held the inaugural International Graduation Celebration for graduating international students, showcasing their flags and achievements. “It is important that we're exposed to different cultures that exist within Blackness and that students are willing to be open to learn and explore,” said Jenelle Howard, assistant director of the center. “To ask questions and to challenge differences so that they can grow and be better people once they leave our University.” The event was a testament to the vibrant diasporic experiences within our community that we house here at The Mecca.
