From the virtual classrooms of his freshman year to becoming a campus leader, the 47th Mr. Howard Mahlon West has truly defined what it means to make the most of every opportunity Howard has to offer! As a member of Howard's COVID class of 2024, Mahlon's journey at The Mecca began amidst the challenges of social distancing and remote learning. Unsatisfied with the initial lack of community, Mahlon channeled his high school leadership experience into bringing students together on campus. From organizing a basketball tournament for student entrepreneurs to launching the popular Mecca Market and his own clothing brand, 'Basement Boy,' Mahlon has been a beacon of creativity and connection.
