Major Hendrix leads the Office of Field Operations, commanding all Patrol posts and the Special Response Team, Aviation, Crash Reconstruction, and Licensing and Commercial Standards Units. Promoted to the position on August 28, 2022, he began his Patrol career in February 1999, rising through the ranks from sergeant to staff lieutenant before assuming his current role. Hendrix holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in police science from Youngstown State University (1996) and completed advanced leadership training at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, Public Safety Leadership Academy (2013).
