Are we moving backwards?! 😳 Last week, the school board members of Shenandoah County voted to restore the names of two schools that were previously named after Confederate leaders. In July 2021, Stonewall Jackson High School and Ashby Lee Elementary School were renamed Mountain View High School and Honey Run Elementary School. According to Education Week, Shenandoah County School Board might be the first school district in the country to make this reversal.
