Reflecting on the year I can't help but highlight shooting an @underoathband concert. This was one of the most full circle moments I have ever experienced. Let's go back in time about 20 years. I'm in an old church or community centre or bar that's about to be torn down. I'm holding a point and shoot video camera recording my brothers band (and other bands in the scene) so that I could watch the footage back or listen to the live recording on my iPod. There was no fancy tech or expensive lenses. Just a simple camera that could shoot in a night mode when it was really dark. I put a camera down for so long and kind of wished I didn't. But we can't change that so here we are almost 20 years later. Getting to be in the photo pit to shoot one of my favorite bands. I have never been more nervous to shoot anything than I was as the band's intro was playing as they walked out on stage.
