When I first wrote the demo for “Me and My Phone,” I was thinking about how much time I was spending on my phone, in bed at night, going down internet rabbit holes, hoping for a message, a response, any kind of digital cure for my loneliness. There are two sides to this story, though. Like many of you, I haven’t seen my friends or family in months. If it weren’t for this strange, handheld technology, I wouldn’t be able to connect with the ones I love. So yes — sometimes it’s a curse.
