McAllen High swimmer Nilton Dos Santos signed with The Master's University of San Clarita, California, on April 12, 2021, at the McAllen High gym. He's the latest McAllen ISD athlete who will be competing in intercollegiate athletics. Nilton has won the 100-yard fly and 200-yard freestyle every time he has swam it the last two years leading up to the State Meet. He served as anchor for the 200-yard sprint relay and the 400-yard sprint. Nilton has qualified for Regionals the last three years in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle. He advanced to state in those events last year and qualified again for state this year. In 2020, he was selected as the Class 6A Male Swimmer of the Rio Grande Valley. #DistrictOfChampions #McAllenISDAdvantage
