“Weather the storm” Definition: (idiomatic) To reach the end of a very difficult situation without too much harm or damage. If you recall the wise words spoken by Coach Herrmann at team dinner last week, you’ll understand what is meant when I say, “The storm ain’t over yet.” During this seasons storm, thus far, the team has weathered it quite well. A 6-1 record indicates that very little harm has been done. In fact, it’s rather minuscule. However, the storm is building. Are you? Are you taking advantage of every second, every minute and every opportunity you have to prepare for the storm? Do you think you can weather the storm alone or are you fortifying those around you and linking arms as you prepare to destroy the storm together? Take it from Coach Herrmann, who can tell you from experience that “weathering the storm” is best approached as a team effort.
