At the Paris+ par Art Basel show 2022, BMW presents the artwork of the BMW Art Journey winner Julien Creuzet, represented by highartparis. Inspired by the production process of the new BMW 7 series, Creuzet worked with engineers and paint specialists from the BMW plant in Dingolfing on a new piece of artwork: ‘blue green sea bruise on the horizon.’ The piece is rooted in the observation of ELVs (end-of-life vehicles) in Martinique – wrecks of cars abandoned on the roadside and reinvested by vegetation. The #BMWArtJourney is a joint initiative of artbasel and BMW and can take an artist almost anywhere in the world – to research, to network, to envision and create new work.
