We are excited to announce the upcoming BMW Open Work by Frieze initiative with Los Angeles-based artist Nikita Gale. In continuation of BMW’s long-term partnership with Frieze, the major art initiative brings together art, design and technology in pioneering multi-platform formats. This year artist Nikita Gale will present an innovative immersive installation created in collaboration with BMW i7 designers, which pushes the limits of our reality, reflecting on the relationship between car and sound design. Gale’s multi-media practice explores the history and politics of sound and its surroundings reshaping the complex relationship between performer and spectator. As part of the BMW Open Work commission, the artist will bring together art, technology and design to create a series of objects, a mixture between functional items and sculpture.
