#BMWArtJourney Artist Samson Young’s work ‘Sonata for Smoke,’ is being shown during the film programming of Art Basel Hong Kong as part of “The Wildest Thing” - a collection of four films exploring the tradition of storytelling as a way of understanding and passing on information about what it means to be human at a certain point in time. “Sonata for Smoke” was created as an audiovisual journey in response to the artist’s residency at the Ryosoku-In in Kenninji Temple, and sets the stage for a series of theatrical events to trigger and capture the elusive emission of smoke. — artbasel #SamsonYoung 📸: Documentation by Dennis Man Wing Leung, courtesy of the artist.
