For Los Angeles-based artist Patrick Martinez, accessibility is key for his neon works 🔑
Referencing his 2020 work "Los Angeles Resilience" created in partnership with independent curator Pedro Alonzo and BMW, Martinez states: "They’re a 24-hour message even when everybody is asleep. The aim is to create work that can be placed in differing environments, whether it be a liquor store or a gallery, making it accessible."
Recently, 10 of Martinez's neon sculptures were acquired by whitneymuseum for their permanent collection. Congratulations, Patrick!
