🎨 🚗 📸 In August, our celebration of 50 years of cultural engagement is focused on photography. We also just last week released the acuteart AR translation of Robert Rauschenberg's BMW Art Car. We would be remiss to not highlight the beautiful crossover between Rauschenberg, BMW Art Cars, and photography. For Rauschenberg's mobile creation, he was the first artist to use other artists' works on his car. He processed these works by means of photographic techniques that were projected onto the vehicle. Rauschenberg was well known for his style of "combine painting" where he created a collage of techniques integrating real objects and photographs. The artist's goal was to create a "mobile museum."
