𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 Visitors to the south gate might notice a change at our large vehicle inspection site. We recently dedicated the security forces-operated facility to 1st Lt. Joseph D. Helton Jr., Class of 2007. Helton was serving as a security forces officer in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009, when his vehicle was hit by an IED. A large display case in the LVIS contains his parade uniform and flight suit, and details of his service are etched on Terrazzo marble.
