Who are you going to be when it matters most? The athlete/person that says all the right things but doesn’t really do the work? Or the one that does? The teammate that says they are all about the team goals until they aren’t playing and then quickly forgets? Or one that exhibits servant leadership and can balance personal disappointments while still finding genuine joy for their teams accomplishments? The words never matter.
