40 years of park preservation work! 🌳 ⛰️ Yee-haw! Today marks four decades since our first-ever park project at Gates of the Artic National Park and Preserve in Alaska. Like many of our following projects, we helped ensure that a critical piece of the land was preserved as wilderness at this national park. The five acres had been scheduled for private development, but we helped to acquire the land, block any construction, and inevitably transfer the property back to the National Park Service.
