Have you ever heard about the Lost Colony?
We know it sounds like something out of Scooby-doo, but it’s a real story! In 1587, English settlers traveled across the Atlantic to establish a permanent settlement in North Carolina’s Roanoke Island.
Crazily enough, #TodayInHistory, John White, the explorer who helped set up the original colony, returned to find absolutely no traces of his family, the other settlers, or the colony. To this day, historians and mystery fanatics alike have theories but no real answers for what happened to the settlement there!
#DidYouKnow you can scope out the area for yourself? Load into your own #MysteryMachine and head to the fortraleighnps in the Outer Banks to see if you can find a clue!
