Shakespeare once wrote, “One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.” Last month, we took this to heart when we invited DC-area military families to @mallowsBayPotomacRiverNms. Watch our short film to learn about how the National Park Trust, @MarineSanctuaryFdn, @NOAAFisheries, and @noaasanctuaries partnered to offer military families the opportunity to bond, heal, fish, and kayak while spending a day in the protected waters of the Potomac River. These outings provided opportunities for these families to experience National Marine Sanctuaries firsthand while learning how to fish and be good stewards of our public waters.
