Happy (belated) 107th birthday to lincolnbirthplacenps in Kentucky, which preserves the farms where our nation’s 16th president was born and spent his early childhood. Abraham Lincoln Birthplace is also the site of a National Park Trust park preservation project! In 2001, the National Park Trust awarded a $10,000 grant to Preservation of Lincoln’s Kentucky Heritage, Inc., which enabled them to eventually purchase Knob Creek Farm, where President Lincoln lived from ages 2 to 7. In 2002, the farm was added then to the National Historic Park.
