How much does a new chimney cost? Nothing – it’s on the house!!! That’s a good-looking chimney on the roof of the Pierce Mill in Rockcreeknps in Washington D.C.! In 2004, the National Park Trust, alongside the loverockcreek, acquired and donated 0.6 acres of land in the Fort Stevens section of the park. The land, home to a historic Civil War site, was approved for development into townhomes until it was acquired. Today, the land remains undeveloped and a vital part of the nearly 3,000-acre Rock Creek Park and the surrounding Brightwood neighborhood. National Park Trust projects like this help to protect and complete our nation’s national park sites for future generations! #DadJokes #Parks #NationalParks #Outside #Outdoors #Preservations #History #HistoricBuilding #RockCreekPark #WashingtonDC #NationalParkService #Nature 📸: NationalParkService Image: A three-story brick house with several windows. A mill is next to it, and a fence surrounds both the mill and the house.
