Here at the Park Trust, we’re wrapping up #MilitaryAppreciationMonth with a quick spotlight on one of our most recent trips! This past month, with help from the nationalparkservice and ourmilitarykids, we hosted a fantastic event for military families at assateaguenps. The program was designed to teach fishing basics to Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware-based us.nationalguard and Reserve families while connecting with their local national park sites in a deeper and more meaningful way without financial or access barriers. By the end of the day, each family had a Military Pass, their own fishing pole and tackle box and knowledge of how to use it, and super special memories of the dolphins and horses they spent the day sharing the protected coastline with.
