#DidYouKnow each year the National Park Trust works with the nationalparkservice to provide grant funding to park partners across the country? The goal of the NPS Challenge Cost Share Program is to connect a nearby national park, trail, or wild and scenic river to a local community! This year’s group of awardees will engage over 8,600 participants in outdoor recreation and in education initiatives that increase knowledge about our nation’s rich natural and cultural heritage. The Park Trust and NPS are providing $375,100 in direct financial support, in addition to the nearly $980,000 pledged in direct and in-kind support from community non-profit organizations that partner with local park sites.
