“All men and women are created equal!” - Women’s Rights Convention in Seneca Falls in 1848. These activists demanded equal rights for women, including a very important, very radical idea - that women should have the right to vote. The womensrightsnps tells the story of this Convention and the five women who organized it. In 1996, the #NationalParkTrust gifted the #NationalParkService funding to buy the last property owned by organizer Elizabeth Cady Stanton. This park was what she called the “Center of the Rebellion.” #InternationalWomensDay #WomensRights #Equality #Advocacy #Women #FemaleEmpowerment #Feminism #Activism #WomensRightsConvention #SenecaFalls #NewYork #NY #NationalHistoricPark #HistoricPark 📸: nationalparkservice Image: A colorful mural from the park depicts Fredrick Douglas, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and other activists.
