Breaking news: this past Sunday, Mauna Loa, the world’s largest active volcano, erupted for the first time in nearly 40 years. 🌋 Scientists at the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported that the eruption began in Mokuaweoweo, the summit caldera of the volcano.
Thankfully, the eruption in hawaiivolcanoesnps is not yet threatening to any communities or flights, even though the glow can be seen throughout the island.
