A tough 2024 rolls on for Tesla.
The EV maker is recalling 3,878 Cybertrucks after drivers discovered last month that the accelerator pedal could get stuck if too much pressure was applied.
The recall affects all Cybertrucks delivered between November 13th-April 4th, effectively every pickup since deliveries began last year.
The cause of the issue? Soap. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) noted in its recall report that an unapproved lubricant was applied to the pedal cover during manufacturing, causing it to slip off.
Earlier this week, a user on TikTok went viral after he posted a video detailing the issue.
Tesla is replacing or reworking the pedal at no charge to customers.
