It’s hard to let go and let them fly. It goes so freaking fast. And I’m here to tell you none of us know what tomorrow will bring despite all out efforts to protect against danger. All I can advise you is to try to relish as many of the small moments as possible along with the huge milestones. It’s scary, but we have to trust them at a certain point—that they are well marinated in and have absorbed our values and teachings. By the time they are teens we are their moral guides and do our best to protect them, but they need their freedom as much as they need our protection. So I’m letting him fly. He passed btw.
