Craig “Ironhead” Heyward played 11 seasons in the NFL, and passed away from a battle with brain cancer at age 39 in 2006.
Over 16 years later, before today’s game, brothers and teammates Connor and Cameron Heyward visited the resting place of their late father in Georgia.
And in today’s win over the Falcons, rookie Connor Heyward scored his first career Receiving Touchdown, as his older brother Cam watched from the sidelines.
A special moment, and a reminder that football is family.
