The University of Houston is closed and will remain closed through the weekend. No determination has been made regarding operations next week. A decision will be made no later than Sunday at noon. #Harvey2017 - EMERGENCY OPERATIONS CENTER UH has activated its Emergency Operations Center and continues to monitor the storm. UH is coordinating with the National Weather Service, and local and regional government emergency partners. As part of its Hurricane preparations, the university has contingency plans for evacuation of on-campus residents and will continue to monitor on-campus conditions and make determinations, as necessary. - STUDENT RESIDENT INFORMATION Student safety is our top priority. Residential facilities will remain open and staffed by university personnel. We anticipate approximately 2,000 of the 8,000 on-campus residents will remain here during the storm.
