The annual Race & ... Conference elevates the work of the University's race-related centers, the health sciences, and Africana Studies and promotes and celebrates collaboration between centers and departments on campus. This year's theme focused on collaboration and interdisciplinary work. Race &... is the shorthand name of Pitt’s Race and Social Determinants of Equity, Health, and Well-being Initiative, which seeks to demonstrate the University of Pittsburgh’s commitment to investigate and ameliorate racial disparities in equity, health and well-being locally, nationally and globally.
