From the cutting room floor. . We really loved this branding, but the client went in another direction. This team was going to be based in Louisville (home of horse racing's Kentucky Derby), hence the mascot, but it does 2 things we really tried to push which was: . 1 - Hide an L inside the horse's bridle . 2 - try to create motion without throwing off the overall symmetry of the center point (the lower part of the nose) . The L created in the bridle also pushed us into some custom typography design.
