Introducing the Kansas City Cats (short for cat-alytic converter) of the ExHL. Kansas City is the country’s second largest auto hub and we want to make a brand that embraced it, in a fun way. Hoping to make a brand that makes the home of the Ford F-150 proud. The term “Cat-Back” always brought up images of some large predatory cat - and mixing that with hood scoops, mufflers, and even sneaking in a converter into the text lockup this really thread the needle of aggressive but fun. It also drove home the purpose of the ExHL and becoming better at the task we love. Combining and simplifying shapes without loosing emotion is one of the hardest things to do in this field, but we accomplished that well in the primary (looking at you teeth/muzzle/whiskers shape).
