That's one way to look at it.
During an interview on the "Disruptors" podcast in November, "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" author Robert Kiyosaki shared his philosophy on accumulating debt.
"I'm a billion dollars in debt because debt is money," he went on to say.
Kiyosaki explained that there's "good debt" and "bad debt," with his being "good debt" because it's been accumulated by purchasing assets like loans, real estate, and businesses.
Known for his disdain towards the US dollar, Kiyosaki opts to put his savings into gold, silver, Bitcoin, and (wait for it) Wagyu cattle.
It should go without saying, this approach comes with risks. Kiyosaki himself has experienced past financial problems, and even filed for bankruptcy in 2012.
