Dr. Benoît Bérard is full professor in Caribbean archaeology at univantilles (Martinique F.W.I.). He has directed numerous excavations of pre-Columbian archaeological sites in the West-Indies. He has also coordinated international research programs in various islands of the Lesser Antilles.
