LEGACY OF VALOR . #DYK - The 24 SOW HQ Building is named “Stronghold Chapman?” In 2018 the building was formally named in honor of USAF Combat Controller Technical Sgt. John Chapman, who was killed in action March 4th, 2002, during Operation ANACONDA in Takur Gahr, Afghanistan. Chapman, who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, received the highest U.S. Military decoration for his actions that day, saving the lives of his teammates through heroic actions, extraordinary valor and disregard for his own life. #FallenNotForgotten 📸 by U.S. Air Force 1st Lt.
